Kelsey Randich

I am a 22-year-old senior at Central Washington University. I call home the state capital - Olympia, Washington! I will be graduating in June with my Bachelors Degree in public relations with a double minor in advertising and sports business. I always knew that I wanted a career in the sports industry, I just didn't know exaclty what I would be doing. 

 

I played 15+ years of competitive softball, including a short-lived college career, before realizing that I wanted to be more involved outside of the white lines. Whether it was going to be coaching or in advertisement, sports would always be a priority.

 

This past summer I was lucky enough to be able to be a marketing and ticket sales intern for the Madison Mallards in the Northwoods League. They are a collegiate baseball team that is located in Madison, Wisconsin. They are one of four teams in Big Top Baseball and are number one in attendance for the Northwoods League. I was given the opportunity to experience something that not many people have the option to do. I was one of 33 selected from all over the nation. I was a part of all marketing and promotions for about 6,400 fans a night. To say I had the best summer imaginable would be an understatement.

 

Starting school this fall I was also given the opportunity to become a marketing/promotions intern for Central Washington University's athletics department. I will be doing all marketing and promotions for every sports team that CWU offers. I cannot wait to be able to experience the in's and out's of all collegiate sports.

 

Over the past three years, sports marketing and advertising have become my passion. I cannot wait to receive my diploma in June so I can start focusing solely on what makes me excited to wake up every day.
