@Instagram is amazing. It's a unique way to keep your friends in the loop. I truly believe that everyone should have one. I also believe that you need to do some research to fully understand the "Instagram Etiquette". With that being said, keep reading.

1. Post once a week

We all have those followers that post 8+ pictures in a row and we all know it's annoying as hell. So just don't. Posting twice in a day isn't necessarily a bad thing but there better be a good reason for it and by good reason I mean birthdays and/or vacations only.

2. The dreaded 'likes'

Let's get down to the nitty gritty, if you have over 100 followers and less than 20 likes, save yourself the embarrassment and delete it. If for some reason you have under 100 followers, step up your game.

3. PLEASE Make sure your picture is Insta-Worthy

You do NOT, big emphasis on not, need to post EVERYTHING you do to your Instagram (refer back to numero uno). We get it, you made this delicious meal but we don't need to post every meal you eat because we aren't going to give you a gold star for feeding for yourself. But posting pictures of you on a beach, or an adorable candid of you and your best friend that will make all your followers jealous IS insta-worthy so post away!

4. Don't over filter your face

Every new Instagramer always does this one. They filter the their posts so much that everyone is left questioning if this is actually them or some creepy cut out of them. NEVER add a border to your picture, the cheesier the editing job the less likes.

5. #Hashtags, don't overuse them

Hashtags are the latest and greatest of the 21st century but they should be limited to no more than one hashtag, others will say no more than four but I disagree. If I have to hit click "more.." solely for hashtags, I will unfollow you. Also, using "#blessed" makes you look like a basic white girl.

6. Selfies

If I scroll through your page and every other post is a selfie, there's an issue. Guess what, you don't look like '100' likes in person and the more selfies you post won't change that. A selfie here and there is one thing, but if you are posting a selfie every other day you need to be knocked down a notch because you aren't that great and no one wants to see you make the same exact face when they scroll through their feed.

Posting a selfie every now and then is more effective because it's a a nice little surprise to your followers and a nice little reminder to your latest "bae" that you are hot and to not forget it.

7. #MCM and #WCW

WE DON'T NEED TO SEE YOUR BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND EVERY SINGLE WEEK... or ever.
