Why the 90s rock

After becoming a nannying I discovered how terrible the kids these days have it. They have awful TV shows, the worst toys, horrid music.. the list goes on. I consider myself lucky to grow up in the 90s. Here are my top 5 reasons for loving the 90s.
1. No cellphones

I didn't have a cellphone until a cellphone until 2007. I hated it , but looking back now it was the best thing that my parents could have done for my brother and I. Parents now a days entertain their kids with their phones and it urks me. Kids don't need phones to entertain them.
2. Boy bands

All the boy bands were great back then. Personally, I was a Backstreet Boys fan but I truly loved them all. I remember sitting in my room rocking out with my walkman or boom box and it was so much better than listening to music on a blue tooth speaker.
3. TV shows

Disney channel was the channel to watch growing up. Even now I still turn to Disney hoping I can watch That's So Raven, Even Stevens, and Lizzie McGuire... I can't find them on anything.
4. Better video games

I am awful at video games but Nintendo 64 was my ish. Playing video games on an Xbox or PlayStation just don't do anything justice. I still own my Nintendo 64 and am so disappointed that most TV's don't allow them to connect.
5. You actually went outside

I spent more time outside than I did inside. My parents would have to drag me inside every single night because I was having so much fun. I will never understand why that "trend" ended. Technology is cool but the outdoors are cooler.
